01 — What's included

Everything you need to start trading.

Registered correctly the first time, in the structure that actually suits you.

Company registration (Pty Ltd)

We register your proprietary limited company with ASIC — name, directors, shareholders, registered office and share structure all set up correctly.

ABN & TFN registration

We apply for the company's Australian Business Number and Tax File Number so it's ready to invoice, bank and deal with the ATO.

GST & PAYG registration

Registered for GST where you need it and for PAYG withholding if you'll have employees — set up from the start, not scrambled later.

Business name registration

Trading under a name that's different from the company? We register your business name with ASIC and link it to your ABN.

Director ID guidance

We explain how to get your Director ID — you apply for it yourself with Australian Business Registry Services, using myID, before you're appointed.

Structure advice & ASIC compliance

Sole trader, company or trust — we consider your tax position before recommending a structure, then help you keep up with your ASIC obligations.

02 — Who it's for

For founders who want it set up properly.

A good start saves expensive fixes later.

  • First-time founders who want their business set up properly from day one.
  • Sole traders who are ready to move to a company structure as they grow.
  • People comparing online registration services who would rather work directly with a registered tax agent.
  • Anyone who needs an ABN, TFN or GST registration set up correctly the first time.
03 — How it works

From idea to ready to trade.

Most set-ups are straightforward once the structure is decided.

  1. 1

A quick call to confirm the structure

We talk through your plans and confirm the structure — sole trader, company or trust — that suits your tax position and goals.

  2. 2

You apply for your Director ID

Each director applies personally with Australian Business Registry Services, using myID. It's free, we explain each step, and it needs to be in place before the company is registered.

  3. 3

    We register everything

We register the company with ASIC and apply for the ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG registrations your business needs.

  4. 4

    You're set up to trade

You receive your company documents, and we set you up for bookkeeping, BAS and tax from the start.

More than a form-filling service. We look at whether the structure suits your tax position before anything is lodged — and we're here afterwards for bookkeeping, BAS, tax and ASIC compliance.

04 — FAQ

Starting a business — your questions.

What do I need to start a company in Australia?

To register a Pty Ltd company you'll need the company name, a registered office and principal place of business, the director and shareholder details, and consents from the people taking those roles. Each director must have a Director ID before the company is registered. We register the company with ASIC and, as a registered tax agent, apply for its ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG as needed.

What's the difference between an ABN, ACN and TFN?

An ACN (Australian Company Number) is the nine-digit number ASIC issues to identify your company as a legal entity. An ABN (Australian Business Number) identifies your business when it deals with the ATO, suppliers and customers, and appears on your invoices. A TFN (Tax File Number) is used for lodging tax returns and dealing with the ATO. A company has its own ACN, ABN and TFN, separate from your personal ones — we set all of these up for you.

What is a Director ID and do I need one?

A Director ID (director identification number) is a unique identifier that every company director must have. You must apply for it yourself — it's free, and no one, including a tax agent, can apply on your behalf. You apply online with Australian Business Registry Services (abrs.gov.au), signing in with the myID app, and you need it before you are appointed as a director. We explain each step so you know what to expect.

Should I be a sole trader or a company?

It depends on your income, your risk, who's involved and your plans for the business. A sole trader is simple and inexpensive to run, while a company offers limited liability (with some exceptions for directors) and a flat company tax rate, but comes with more compliance. We talk through your situation and recommend the structure — sole trader, company or trust — that fits your tax position and goals.

Do you help after registration (BAS, tax, ASIC)?

Yes. Once you're set up we can handle your bookkeeping, BAS and GST, payroll, company tax returns and ASIC compliance, so the business keeps up with its obligations year after year.
